Susan G. Komen - Race for the Cure - 2011
Sunlight Supply, Inc. is proud to have participated in the annual 2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure! The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure represents a powerful unity of communities around the world coming together to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. In the United States, Komen Race for the Cure events are organized by local Komen Affiliates, and 75% of the net income from each Race stays in the host community to fund local programs offering breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment. The remaining 25% supports breast cancer research.
In addition to raising funds, the Komen Race for the Cure Series is committed to educating the public. By incorporating simple action-oriented messages, the I AM THE CURE® program emphasizes the importance of breast self-awareness and encourages Race participants to take an active role in their breast health. Sunlight Supply, Inc. is proud to be able to help support this wonderful cause.

Gaiser Middle School - Vancouver, WA
In support of expanding the minds of young people in the community, in 2011, Sunlight Supply donated an Oakton pH Tester 10 to Ms. Graves' Science class at Gaiser Middle School in Vancouver, WA. Ms. Graves' Science class, in conjunction with Clark County Waterworks, has begun monitoring the school's storm water drain off to determine whether or not actions on school campus negatively impact the storm water. The students have planted native flora to help filter the water before it reaches its final destination in Salmon Creek.

Portland Shamrock Run - 2011

Sunlight Supply, Inc. participated in the 33rd annual
Shamrock Run - Portland 2011! We are thrilled to have been a part of this
extraordinary event and happy to be able to help support the Doernbecher
Children's Hospital Foundation. Doernbecher Children's Hospital holds a
special place in the hearts of many of the employees and families at
Sunlight Supply.
We had more than 50 people participating in this year's event - all in support of Sunlight Supply and Doernbecher. Next year we hope to double that number! We were wet, cold and having a blast! Can't wait for next year's race!

Master Gardener Foundation

Sunlight Supply, Inc. is pleased to support the Washington State University Master Gardener Volunteer Education Program and the Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County. In Southwest Washington, WSU Master Gardeners assist the Extension office at the Center for Science, Agriculture, and Environmental Education (CASEE Center) in Brush Prairie by sharing their knowledge of and enthusiasm for gardening to meet crucial needs within their communities.
Through organized volunteer activities, the WSU Master Gardener Program provides research based information on home horticulture to the public. |

Their mission is to promote research-based horticultural practices in the community through education, consultative programs and experiences which will assist in developing, preserving and enhancing a desirable physical environment.
